colorfields pale pink warm red - Iris Lehnhardt

The sheet is divided in two. The upper half is a pale blush field, brushed in long horizontal passes that leave faint ridges where the strokes overlap. Below it a deep wine red block fills the lower half, its centre a shade lighter than its edges, so a soft rectangle seems to float inside it. A band of dark brown runs along the bottom.

Acrylic colour fields brushed in broad passes, with the drag of the brush left visible in the paint. Iris Lehnhardt is a German visual artist who works in abstract painting, monoprint and collage, looking for a balance between minimal detail and layered colour. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
