Creatures - Lena Galé

Seven invented creatures are spread across a white sheet, painted in blue, teal and deep green. Each one carries a large round eye, several with white lashes drawn over the lid, and their bodies end in splayed webbed feet and long thin fingers. Fine white dots, stripes and net patterns run over the wet colour, and antennae and crests rise from some of the heads.

Ink and watercolour on paper, the washes laid down first and the patterns drawn over them in fine line. Created by Lena Galé, a visual artist and muralist based in Barcelona who moves between the abstract and the figurative, from large murals to mixed media on paper. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
