Ochre portrait / blue field - Linor Citaku

A head and bare shoulders fill the square, painted in ochre, mustard and cream against a deep blue ground that darkens towards the edges. The face is split down the middle: the left half is modelled like skin, with a brown eye and a soft mouth, while the right half breaks into flat geometric facets with a ringed circle for an eye. A wedge of bright yellow cuts in at the lower right.

Oil on canvas, the brushwork left open so each facet keeps its own edge. Linor Citaku is an artist and architect based in Luxembourg, whose painting joins abstract and figurative elements through geometry, fragmented form and layered colour. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
