Trap - ZhanSnow

A pale spider sits at the centre of a spiral web, glowing white against the dark, and a white butterfly hangs caught in the threads below it. The web fills the whole sheet, its rings drawn in fine light lines, and behind it the ground shifts through deep blue, green, burgundy and black. Points of light flare where the spider and the butterfly sit.

Painted in oil on canvas, the web scratched in thin pale lines over dark layered colour. Zhan Snow is a Kazakh artist based in London, who works mainly in oils and explores emotion, nature and imagined worlds through expressive colour and dreamlike imagery. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
