The Artist
Hubert Bíró – Tattoo Artist & Fine Artist I have been creating custom tattoos based on original illustrations since 1994. I live and work in Hungary at my studio in Szeged, while periodically working as a guest artist in various European countries. In much of my tattoo work, I prefer using freehand drawing directly on the skin. This approach allows me to precisely follow the body's anatomy, ensuring that the flow and placement of the design move in harmonious rhythm with the body. A defining period in my career was the 7 years I spent in Zurich, where I was invited to work at a top-tier studio. It was an incredible time that offered immense opportunities for professional growth and collaboration with other world-class artists. During those years, I participated in numerous international tattoo conventions across Europe, winning 1st place awards in several categories, including Portrait, Black and Grey, and Color. Drawing and painting have been my passions since childhood, and since I started tattooing, art has become a natural part of my daily life. Beyond the walls of my studio, my paintings are occasionally showcased in both solo and group exhibitions. In my painting, I strive to develop a distinct visual language. I work with a variety of mediums, primarily focusing on oil and mixed media. My mixed media pieces combine liquid watercolor, Ecoline, acrylics, ink, colored ink, and metallic markers. My subject matter varies—I paint whatever touches me or captures my interest, turning visually intriguing ideas into tangible artwork. With respect, Hubert Bíró
