Justyna Kopania
I paint silence.
Silence that is not emptiness, but a space between emotions.
“Art begins where words end.” – said Rainer Maria Rilke. That’s where I begin.
My paintings don’t tell stories. They suggest them. Like a breath before a word, like light before sleep.
I’m inspired by what is fleeting: mist over the river, a trace on glass, a memory without a face.
“I don’t paint things. I paint their impression.” – Monet once said.
I work mainly in oil on canvas, because it allows me to hold time still. Each layer of paint is a layer of thought. Each texture – a trace of presence.
I believe art doesn’t need to shout to be heard.
I live and create in Warsaw. My works have found their place in homes and hearts around the world.
My name is Justyna Kopania. I am a painter. I work primarily with oil on large canvases.
In my studio, I paint for several hours a day – sometimes just a few, sometimes many. I’m inspired by fleeting moments, fragments of what I see and what stays with me.
In my free time, I work with dogs – training them in rescue techniques is my passion. I’m also deeply involved in helping locate missing persons and share announcements daily.
