White Peony - RenataK

A full white peony opens at the centre of the sheet with a rust and pink heart, its outer petals washed in grey and lilac. Blue bellflowers and small violet blooms crowd in around it, green leaves push through from the left, and the ground behind is a deep wet green-black.

Painted in watercolour on paper, the dark ground laid in wet so the pale petals are left standing. RenataK is Renáta Katona, a Hungarian artist who trained at an arts-focused secondary school and now works mainly in watercolour. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
